To celebrate this Christmas, we specially commissioned this beautiful one-of-a-kind piece and organized this special sale. It is not only a complete nativity scene, but a unique and unrepeatable piece. Celebrate this Christmas Eve by bringing a work of art to your home. A piece made by hand with precision and mastery in one of the oldest techniques of our traditional crafts; the polychrome earthenware.

The Nativity Scene or Manger is made up of 17 characters who come from afar to worship the child; Jesus in his cradle, the virgin and Joseph. A guardian angel, three wise men dressed in colorful costumes bringing gold, frankincense and myrrh. A good shepherd and his flock of four sheep, a mountain goat, a cock of passion that announces the dawn, a lying bull, a cow and a faithful donkey.

The tradition of polychrome earthenware in Chile is already mentioned in chronicles by Diego de Rosales in the 17th century. It flourished under the eaves of the convent of the Monjas Claras de la Cañada and today its style and elaboration continue in dozens of workshops in the commune of Talagante. Its main characteristics are the bright colors, its friendly size and the representation of traditional, religious and everyday scenes. They are modeled by hand in clay and sand and are painted in the same way.
