Collection: Vegetal fibers

Chile is a long country, with diverse climates and ecosystems. Its extensive wetlands, coastal areas, lake shores and archipelagos of sunken mountain ranges are home to a rich diversity of plant fibers that have been used for centuries by the ancients who have inhabited this long forgotten strip. In this collection you will find original objects of tradition and also contemporary ones made of Ñocha fiber (Eryngium paniculatum), Manila (Phormium Tenax), Chupón or Quiscal (Greigia sphacelata), Jonquillo (Scirpus holoschoenus), Copihue (Lapageria rosea), Voqui pilfuco (Berberidopsis corallina), among others. All these fibers are collected by hand in our mountains and fields or also grown in greenhouses for the most sought-after species. Long live noble materials!
