Collection: Gorbea

Although these pieces are the result of a family workshop that has been working meticulously for more than 37 years, the ceramic tradition of the city of Gorbea dates back to more than 2000 years before its administrative foundation in 1904. This is proven by the archaeological findings of an ancient eltun in the Donguil River basin, where the largest Mapuche cemetery in Chile is located. Just as national ceramics have their designations of origin as in the case of Quinchamalí, Pomaire and Nacimiento, Gorbea has also promoted this craft with a particular characteristic; Each piece is made of a recognizable red clay tone and has a glazed interior, which makes it not only decorative but 100% utilitarian, oven and microwave resistant.
