It's summer even though it's not hot everywhere. It is summer in the southern islands and in the channels of Chiloé. It is summer in the Patagonian pampas and an indecisive wind runs through them. It is also summer in the central valleys and watermelon is eaten peeled. It's summer in the city and everyone talks about how nice the city is in January and February. It's summer in the coastal curl fields and in our 5,000 km of coast, in Cavancha, in Cifuncho and in Puertecillo. The sun goes to bed late in the deep blue of the Pacific and the teenagers gild their bodies with light.
