As the first country invited to Cordillerana LatAm, we want to welcome Guatemala. We start 2022 with the rhythm of Marimba, an abundance of colors and baroque and colonial imagery. From the morerías and artisan workshops around Lake Atitlán, we greet carpenters who embraced syncretism and cultural mixing, carving and painting by hand a complex myriad of religious figures, Santería, virgins, angels, jaguars of magical colors and ceremonial masks of amazing animals that inhabit this country of mountains and coastal plains of Mayan Mesoamerica.
